In short, Doyle provides a complete history of the sonic treatment of sound in the recording studio, including the emergence of acoustic effects, notable examples from recording history and ultimately the psycho-acoustic ramifications of sound processing in the recording studio, by way of some of the best-known pre and early rock'n'roll records. I thought book 1 was amazing but this 2nd book in this series was beyond amazing and had me fall in love. One of the best commentaries on Book of John. 991, SBIA 1996, Vol. alpha hero, strong woman. I don't know if the author actually was a bit dippy right there or if something was lost in formatting to an ebook. I highly recommend this book to anyone dealing with a job loss. In both the musical and the novel, I think most people's sympathies will be with the Phantom, rather than with Christine and Raoul.
